Review of Ashwin Sanghi's Trilogy

I just finished the mythology based fiction trilogy of Ashwin Sanghi. This trilogy has 3 books that start with the Rozabal line followed by the Chanakya chants and last part is The Krishna key. I read these 3 books in reverse chronological order and like them in opposite order. While second and third books are very good as per standard of Indian fiction category but I must say that 1st book The Rozabal line has created a standard benchmark. Sanghi has a brilliant narrative style and well compiled data.I must say that he is Dan Brown of india. The rozabal line was toughest book of an Indian author that I read. It has combined Islam, jesus, illiminati, church and different muslim organization in the background of India. His research work is awesome and so credible that up to a certain time you will consider it as a real story with no part of fiction. Story, dialogues, reference, the search work; everything was just brilliant.
My rating for all 3 books is:
The Chanakya Chants: 3/5
The Krishna Key: 4/5
The Rozabal Line: 5/5

Bucket List

Few years back i was travelling to Mumbai via Calcutta in plane when a thought came to my mind that completing a graduation degree or marrying or getting a job is few things that are bound to happen in everybody's life at different stages and all these are certain things and achieving these things should not be only wish of someone's life there must be few things which are far bigger, far better, something for which you can feel proud or contented. From that moment i was working on my bucket list or a wish list or a must list. Today i made my bucket list partially.
There is a saying that "you are not living until u have something to die for" so based on that i am writing few simple things which i wanted to finish before i leave this world.
  1. To write a book. I am planning it from last 2-3 years but its just not happening. I am not even sure what i will write; whether i will write a love story or a piece of philosophy but whatever i will write, will be based on my experiences of life and of all the journeys and all the stories which came across while travelling to different places or i heard from other people.
  2. To make my parents visit all 12 jyotirling and 4 dhaams. This is something that me and my sister has decided long back. As of now my parents has visited 4 Jyotirlings.
  3. To arrange education of at least one person who is not related to me.
  4. To arrange for marriage of a poor girl.
  5. To re-visit 3 of my old schools some day. I just love my childhood days. It will be a nice experience to go back to my schools and to live all those moments again.
  6. Want to meet my nana- nani before their death. 2 year back last time i met my nana nani.
  7. I made a list of few must visit places before i die. The list included few beaches, few historical places and few scenic beautiful places. I am trying hard to get some time for travelling regularly.
  8. To attend a live show of A R rahman. This i have already done and that was a breathtaking experience.
  9. To adopt one elderly couple.
  10. To attend a live show of Jagjit singh. Its not possible now as he is no more. the feeling that i couldn't attend his show will always hurt me.
  11. To attend Jaipur Literature fest.
life is an ever changing phenomena and with life, changes our hobbies wishes and priorities so i am keeping this list open so that i can add anytime anything to it....
One last thing that like everybody else I too had few naughty things in my mind as "things to do" but cant make them public.
PS: this is a request to readers that you can also suggest something to it.
